Detail Itinerary
- Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport (TIA), you will be greeted by our representative. You will be transferred to the Hotel and get an opportunity to take rest or tour around the city which entirely depends on your mood and choice after you are briefed about your stay by our representative.
- After breakfast drive to Pokhara. A very scenic drive lasts for about 6 hrs through the beautiful riverbanks & gorges.
- A short drive of about two hours after breakfast, in the meandering hilly roads of western Nepal, you will meet up with the trekking crew at Lumle and commence the trek through the meadows and beautifully terraced cropping fields. On crossing a bridge, you will reach a large village bazaar by the name of Birethani, by the confluence of Bhurungdi River and the Modi River. After the Annapurna Conservation Area Project entry registration, you will continue the trek towards a gentle climb, which is rather easy to follow.
Crossing the two bridges over the Bhurungdi River, the trail slowly passes a few lodges. After one more hour, you will reach Hille, and then reach Tirkhedhunga after a mere fifteen more minutes. The day comes to an end at Tirkhedhunga, where the team will stay the night. - The fourth day begins with a short stroll along the mildly graded trail across a suspension bridge at Tirkhedhunga, where you may actually be slowed down and even halted by more than 3000 stone steps on your way to reach the next destination, Ulleri. Breathtaking views, including the beautifully slate-roofed Magar village awaits you at Ulleri. Magars are of Tibeto-Burman origin and are very skilled craftsmen in stone and wood works. Another magnificent view of Annapurna South and Himchuli, as well as Bhurungdi Valley below, awaits your arrival at Ulleri. Walking and climbing the less steep terrain beyond Ulleri for an hour leads you to Banthanti. Banthani has a few tourist lodges, which gives way to the beautiful forest full of varieties of Rhododendrons, most spectacular during March and April, after the last of the lodges. Gradual ascent for a further two hours leads to Ghorepani, a beautiful village inhabiteb by Magars and surrounded by Rhododendron forests.
- On the fifth day we proceed from Ghorepani town towards Tatopani viewing the snow capped mountains including South of Annapurna and Nilgiri. Then we move towards a large village Sikham through steeply and then to Ghar Khola village; crossing the suspension bridge we climb up to Tatopani. Tatopani is a hot water spring which helps trekkers to relax after long tiring but exciting trek.
- From Tatopani we walk through the trails for 6 hours followed by passing through the deep gorge of Kali Gandaki river between two mountains. We reach to the Thakali village,Ghasa, after continuing our trek from Dana and Rupse waterfall which soothes the eyes of the trekkers and is remarkably beautiful. This village stores the varieties of rare birds thus also called Bird Watchers' paradise.
- We reach to Lete after climbing through a steep hill through a forest and crossing Lete Khola which further continues to the eastern part of Kaligandaki to a village called Larjung. From Larjung we enter into trail that takes us to Tukuche, the region of apple farm which produces apples which are famous throughout the country, and then reach Marpha. Marpha is also famous for apple farm and its apple brandy.
- The trail from Marpha takes you to a low ridge and to Jomsom village. From this village afternoons become a bit windy and the trek continues through bank of Kaligandaki river finally ending at Ekley bhatti village meaning lonely pub. We stop there for a while and then move towards Kagbeni which is placed between two rivers.
